An RCDD, short for Registered Communications Distribution Designer, is an accomplished professional who has attained the status of exceptional excellence in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industry by BICSI (Building Industry Consulting International). They are individuals who have proven their high-level of knowledge in creating, planning, integrating, and executing telecommunications and data communications technology. Those holding the professional RCDD designation can easily design a detailed cabling system for a new building or accommodate their design to an existing infrastructure.
Individuals holding the BICSI Installer 2, Copper® (INSTC®) certification are skilled at working with structured cabling systems (SCS) and network components. Copper Installers shall perform duties in compliance with industry best practices, BICSI methodologies, standards, and codes. Copper Installers may work independently, as part of a team, as a team leader, or under the direction of a professional. An Installers (INSTII Copper) experience in installation is defined as hands-on experience with code-compliant copper systems installation which includes preparation of pathways and spaces, integration, cable installation, termination and testing of copper, and field documentation.
